Virtual interior design is a completely remote way to plan and visualize a space before making physical changes or purchases. Using photographs, videos, measurements, and information you provide, I create digital plans and models that help you explore layouts, proportions, furniture placement, colors, and design ideas.

Before You Begin
What virtual design includes, who it is for, and how to start.
Depending on your project, services may include:
- Spatial planning and furniture layouts
- 2D floor plans
- 3D models with multiple viewing angles and 360° views
- Furniture and design selections
- Ideas for improving the appearance and function of a space
- Visual planning for renovations or room updates
Your specific deliverables will be listed in your project proposal and Client Services Agreement.
No. A 360° view is one way of viewing your 3D model. Both are included under the term 3D Model throughout the project review process.
I can assist with residential rooms, home offices, professional offices, creative spaces, and other interiors that can be documented through photographs, video, and measurements. If you are unsure whether your space is a good fit, submit a Project Request with as much information as possible. I will review it before you make a commitment.
Virtual design works best for clients who want help visualizing a room, comparing layouts, planning furniture placement, or developing a clearer design direction. It may not be appropriate for work requiring structural calculations, architectural drawings, engineering, permitting, code verification, or onsite construction management.
Absolutely. You do not need to replace everything in your space. I can incorporate existing furniture, identify pieces that may work better in another location, and recommend additions where they would make a meaningful difference. Please provide photographs and approximate dimensions for any items you would like included.
Yes. Sharing a realistic budget helps me make recommendations that suit your priorities. Your budget can include furniture, décor, lighting, paint, materials, or other items you may purchase after the virtual design is complete.
Begin by submitting a Project Request through the website. Include information about the space, your goals, preferred style, existing furniture, approximate size, budget, and any known limitations. Submitting a request does not automatically create a contract or payment obligation. I will review the information and let you know whether the project is a good fit.
Each request is reviewed individually. A project may be declined or postponed if the scope falls outside the services I provide, the required information is unavailable, or the requested schedule cannot be accommodated.
Onboarding, Pricing & Timing
What happens after your request is accepted and what you will need to provide.
Pricing depends on the size, complexity, scope, and requested deliverables. You will receive your project price before signing the Client Services Agreement or making a payment. Any additional work outside the approved scope will be discussed with you before it is added.
Your payment amount, schedule, and accepted payment method will be listed in your Client Services Agreement. Work begins after the required onboarding documents, project information, and initial payment have been received.
Most projects are planned around a four-week timeline after onboarding is complete and all required project information has been received. Missing measurements, delayed client feedback, major changes in scope, or newly discovered inaccuracies may affect the delivery date. Any significant schedule changes will be communicated through your client portal or by email.
You will receive an onboarding email containing the documents and information needed to begin. These may include:
- Your Client Services Agreement
- The Project Accuracy & Measurement Protocol
- Payment information
- Client portal access
- Instructions for providing project materials
Your project can begin once the required documents and information have been returned.
Depending on your project, you may be asked to provide:
- Clear photographs of the entire space
- A slow walkthrough video
- Room, door, window, ceiling, and architectural measurements
- Photographs and dimensions of existing furniture
- Inspiration images or style references
- Information about your goals, budget, and priorities
- Building or property information relevant to the space
The more accurate and complete the information, the more accurately I can represent your space.
Measurements & Accuracy
How your space is documented and how estimates are handled.
Not necessarily. Many clients can collect the required information by following the Project Accuracy & Measurement Protocol. For complex, unusually shaped, commercial, or inaccessible spaces, you may need assistance from someone onsite or a qualified professional.
I may be able to create an estimated preliminary model using photographs, video, known objects, and available building information. Any estimated dimensions will be identified as estimates and must be reviewed before the project proceeds. An estimated model is a planning tool—not a verified architectural record.
If new information changes the room’s proportions, layout, or architectural features, part of the model may need to be revised. The effect on the project schedule, revision allowance, or fee will depend on when the corrected information is received and how much work must be changed. Review all preliminary plans carefully before approving them.
The address helps identify the correct building and may allow me to consult relevant publicly available property, building, or architectural information. This information is used only to better understand the project and does not replace client-provided measurements or onsite verification. If the space has privacy, security, or access restrictions, please tell me before providing project materials.
During Your Project
How to follow progress, review work, and request changes.
Your client portal is the central location for your active project. It may include:
- Project details and current status
- Documents and important links
- Preliminary plans and models
- Review and approval forms
- Revision updates and final deliverables
Use the portal link provided in your onboarding email. If you lose access, contact me by email.
You will be notified when a new project checkpoint is available. The notification will direct you to the appropriate materials and review form. Please review the full deliverable before submitting your response.
Yes. Each deliverable is reviewed independently. For example, you may approve the 2D Floor Plan while requesting changes to the 3D Model. For each item, you can approve it as presented, approve it with minor notes, request revisions, or indicate that more information is needed.
Your project includes the review and revision terms stated in your Client Services Agreement. During each review, provide all known comments, corrections, and requested changes together whenever possible. Requests that substantially change the approved scope, measurements, room, style direction, or deliverables may require an additional fee or updated timeline.
Approval confirms that you have reviewed a specific project material and authorize it to be used as the basis for the next phase. Approving one deliverable does not automatically approve every part of the project. Your selections are recorded individually through the project review form.
Use the review form associated with the project checkpoint. You may provide written notes and, when helpful, upload annotated photographs, sketches, PDFs, or measurement sheets. For the clearest results, identify the specific wall, object, measurement, or design element you are referring to.
Routine project communication takes place through email, the client portal, and project review forms. Keeping feedback in these locations creates a clear record and reduces the chance that important information will be lost across multiple messages.
Recommendations & Implementation
What your digital plan does—and does not—include.
No. A recommendation does not automatically purchase or reserve an item. Unless your agreement specifically includes purchasing assistance, you are responsible for confirming the item’s price, dimensions, availability, shipping, return policy, installation requirements, and suitability before ordering.
No. Virtual design services do not include construction, contracting, installation, electrical work, plumbing, structural work, permitting, or onsite supervision. Always use appropriately qualified professionals for physical work and verify measurements before ordering, building, cutting, or installing anything.
No. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, floor plans and 3D models are conceptual design and visualization materials. They are not architectural, engineering, survey, code-compliance, or permit drawings.
Completion & Support
Final delivery, privacy, access, and what happens next.
Final digital deliverables will be made available through your client portal or another delivery link identified in your project documents. Download and save your files after delivery so you retain your own copy.
A project is complete after the agreed deliverables have been provided, the included review process has concluded, and final materials have been delivered. Any additional work requested after project completion may be treated as a new project or an added service.
Notify me as soon as possible. Payment, cancellation, rescheduling, and work-completed terms are governed by your signed Client Services Agreement.
Project information is handled as part of providing your service. Any permissions concerning portfolio, website, social media, or promotional use should be documented in your agreement. If your space contains confidential, personally identifying, or security-sensitive information, remove or obscure it before submitting photographs or video and let me know about any special privacy requirements.
Email me with the name of the project, the link or file you are trying to access, and a brief description of what happens when you open it. A screenshot is helpful when available.
Please reach out by email. I am happy to clarify the service, your project documents, or the next step in your active project.
